Job summary

Awomo is seeking an experienced DevOps/SRE engineer to deploy, monitor, and operate the laboratory's cloud infrastructure and servers, ensuring high availability. You will build and maintain the DevOps toolchain, manage CI/CD pipelines, and support secure access through an API gateway and VPNs.

You will collaborate on cost-control strategies, network security, and write operations documentation to standardise processes in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, network engineering, or a related field.
• Experience operating Linux servers and administering common Linux distributions.
• Proficiency with Docker and Docker Compose, with hands-on experience in containerised deployment and orchestration.
• Familiarity with the core services of at least one mainstream cloud platform, such as AWS, Alibaba Cloud, or Tencent Cloud, including compute, storage, networking, and IAM.
• Practical CI/CD experience using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, Nginx or reverse proxies, firewalls, and VPN configuration.
• Scripting ability in Bash or Python, with the ability to write automated operations scripts.
• Clear communication, a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, monitor, and operate the laboratory’s cloud infrastructure and servers, ensuring high availability and stability.
• Maintain the API-gateway configuration layer, support reliable access to AI services and model-compatibility adaptation, assist in cost-control strategies.
• Build and maintain the DevOps toolchain, including source-code repository management, CI/CD pipeline development, and automated deployment.
• Manage the laboratory’s network infrastructure and security systems, including proxy nodes, VPNs, software routers, and security systems.
• Provide IT support for the team, including website deployment, regulatory filing and compliance support, development-environment configuration, and day-to-day troubleshooting.
• Write operations documentation and user manuals, and establish standardised operational processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting AI or machine-learning infrastructure, including GPU clusters, model-inference services, or API gateways.
• Understanding of cybersecurity architectures such as zero trust, SASE, or DLP, with experience deploying security systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes or large-scale container orchestration.
• Understanding of the deployment and operation of AI-agent applications.
• Experience configuring software routers such as OpenWrt or iStoreOS.
