Coherent Corp. Zurich is seeking an IT Student Assistant (m/f) at 60-80% to support daily IT operations, install, configure, and maintain networks, and assist with hardware and software issues. You should be enrolled in Computer Science or a related field and have basic Windows knowledge.

Fluent in German and English, you will work in a structured corporate environment, handling routine system upgrades and end-user support while learning in a dynamic international setting.

IT Student Assistant (m/f) - 60-80%

• Install, configure, and maintain computer networks and systems.
• Provide technical assistance to employees or clients, addressing hardware and software issues, login problems, and general IT-related questions.
• Monitor IT Infrastructure performance and troubleshoot problems.
• Deploy and maintain software applications used by the organization, ensuring compatibility with systems and compliance with licensing agreements.
• Use ticketing systems to log and track technical issues, ensuring proper documentation of steps taken to resolve problems.

Your profile

• Currently enrolled student in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and IT support concepts
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a structured corporate environment
• Capable of handling routine tasks such as system upgrades and user support
• Proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for end-user interaction and teamwork
• Initial hands-on experience (academic or personal) in troubleshooting, device setup, or IT infrastructure is a plus
• You are fluent in German and English (oral and written)
