Job description

I'm working with a private investment firm in Zurich that is looking to add an experienced investment professional to the team.

The role sits across direct investments, corporate transactions and financing, with exposure to a broad range of situations from evaluating new opportunities through to execution. It would suit someone who combines a strong investment banking foundation with hands‑on buy‑side experience and enjoys working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment with direct access to senior decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate investment and transaction opportunities from initial review through to execution
• Build financial models, valuations and investment cases
• Prepare investment recommendations and present views to senior stakeholders
• Support M&A, capital raising and broader financing processes
• Lead due diligence workstreams and coordinate with management teams and external advisers
• Assess capital structures and financing alternatives across both equity and debt
• Build and maintain relationships with companies, investors, advisers and other transaction partners

Requirements

• Strong experience in investment banking, followed by experience in private equity, growth equity, direct investing or a similar buy-side environment (7+ years of total experience)
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and transaction execution skills
• Strong understanding of both equity and debt
• Comfortable forming an independent view and communicating it clearly
• Confidence working directly with senior stakeholders and management teams
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable taking ownership
• Fluent English and German

This is a broad role with significant exposure and responsibility, well suited to someone who wants to move beyond a narrowly defined investment mandate and work across investments, transactions and strategic financing decisions.
