Zusammenfassung

Hexagon Robotics is offering a six-month internship to work on the sensor data acquisition pipeline of AEON, Hexagon’s humanoid robot. You will help integrate and evaluate new sensor technologies, verify data quality and support the development of reliable robotics functionality.

Joining cross-functional teams across electronics, embedded software, robotics and systems engineering, you will gain hands-on experience with real robotic hardware and contribute directly to AEON’s ongoing development.

Internship Sensor Data Acquisition – Humanoid Robotics (f/m/d)

Hexagon Robotics is a division of Hexagon – a global leader in precision measurement. The division develops humanoid robots for industrial sectors to address labor shortages and accelerate the transition from automation to autonomy. Our first humanoid, AEON, was launched in June 2025 and is already in pilots with five customers.

We are offering a six-month internship to work on the sensor data acquisition pipeline of AEON, Hexagon’s humanoid robot. You will help integrate and evaluate new sensor technologies, verify the quality of acquired data and support the development of reliable robotics functionality.

Working closely with cross-functional teams across electronics, embedded software, robotics and systems engineering, you will gain hands‑on experience with real robotic hardware and contribute directly to the continued development of AEON.

Your Mission

• Work with cross‑functional engineering teams to establish and verify new robotics functionality
• Implement the required interfaces and verify the quality, consistency and reliability of sensor data
• Evaluate sensor performance across different operating conditions and scenarios
• Set up external measurement systems to independently verify and compare sensor performance
• Plan, execute and document experiments, test results and technical findings

Your Skillset

• Currently studying or recently graduated with a BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics or a related technical field
• Hands‑on experience working with embedded systems, sensors or data acquisition systems
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different engineering disciplines
• Good command of English
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on development environment
