Lonza Group Ltd. in Visp, Switzerland, invites university students in engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, or biotechnology to join a 12‑month validation internship.

You will support validation activities across USP and DSP, assist in protocols, collect data, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and MSAT teams. You should be fluent in English, with German a plus, and bring strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.

• Support process validation activities across Upstream and Downstream operations.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and executing process validation protocols, sampling plans, and final reports.
• Collect, organize, and analyze process data to support validation assessments and ensure process robustness and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams during validation preparation and execution.
• Contribute to GMP‑compliant documentation related to process validation activities.
• Support investigations of validation related deviations and participate in change management processes.

What you'll do

• Support process validation activities across both Upstream (USP) and Downstream (DSP) operations.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and executing process validation protocols, sampling plans, and final reports.
• Collect, organize, and analyze process data to support validation assessments and ensure process robustness and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., MSAT Process Experts, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control) during validation preparation and execution.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of GMP-compliant documentation related to process validation activities.
• Support investigations of validation-related deviations and contribute to associated change management processes.

What we are looking for

• University student (engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, biotechnology or related field).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Analytical and structured way of working, with attention to detail
• Good IT skills (Microsoft Office and Microsoft Visio)
• Fluent in English.
• German language skills is a plus.
