The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) seeks an enthusiastic intern to support the Group of Friends for the Protection of Humanitarian Personnel in Geneva. The role focuses on communications, policy research and general secretariat tasks within a small team.

The intern will assist with calendars, content gathering, briefing materials, meeting logistics and archives, contributing to knowledge products and advocacy materials at a central hub of humanitarian

Qualifikationen

• / Be currently enrolled in a university or equivalent level, or have graduated recently (normally within 1 year from the date of hiring) in an area compatible with IFRC activities.
• / Enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a university degree in communications, international relations, political science, humanitarian affairs, public administration or another relevant field.
• / Interest in humanitarian issues, international affairs or public communications.
• / Excellent written and spoken English.

Aufgaben

• Assist with communications content calendar development and maintenance.
• Identify and package stories, data, resources and content for social media, website and newsletters.
• Contribute ideas for new content, formats and narratives aligned with communications strategy.
• Support collection of basic analytics for website and social media.
• Assist during video recordings, meetings and events with organization of media assets.
