Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Financial Controller - Analysis & Reporting (temporary) in Fribourg. You will support the Controlling team with financial analysis, data extraction from SAP R/3, variance analysis and management‑level reporting.

The role requires independent work and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have about 5 years in Controlling/Finance, solid Excel skills, and English fluency; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of experience in Controlling, Finance or Financial Reporting.
• Strong SAP R/3 proficiency and advanced MS Excel; Power BI knowledge is an advantage.
• Excellent PowerPoint skills.
• Solid understanding of financial and accounting data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with a structured, systematic working approach.
• Accurate, reliable and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.
• Fluent English is required; German language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the Controlling team in day-to-day financial analysis and reporting activities.
• Extract, validate and analyze financial data from SAP R/3 and existing reporting systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness and consistency through quality checks and reconciliations.
• Perform variance analyses, including root cause analysis and identification of key financial drivers.
• Analyze existing financial reports to identify trends, deviations and inconsistencies.
• Prepare clear, concise and management-ready PowerPoint presentations.
• Support monthly reporting, forecasting and planning activities as required.
