Qualifikationen

• Master’s or PhD in a relevant field (mechanical engineering, mechatronics, physics or optics).
• Ability to work independently in a small cross-disciplinary team.
• Experience with scientific instrumentation or lab equipment.
• Understanding of how optical, mechanical and electronic sub-systems integrate.

Aufgaben

• Mechanical and optomechanical design of scientific instruments (optical bench layouts, kinematic mounts, sample positioning mechanisms, enclosures).
• Thermal analysis and design of temperature control systems, including TEC/Peltier regulation for sub-degree stability.
• Electronics architecture definition: power distribution, signal routing, connectors and cabling for laser/detector/embedded computing setups.
• Resource budgets and documentation/specifications for the system.
• Prototype, test, and iterate hardware in collaboration with optics and software teams.
