Information Systems Assistant, DPS/ITS (Temporary) at ITC in Geneva, Switzerland, Grade G-6. The incumbent supports development, programming, testing, debugging and implementation of new application systems releases and modules in line with UN-established IT standards.

Reporting to the IT Data Engineer (DPS/ITS) and collaborating with the SPPG section, the role liaises with users to define and specify requirements, assists in design and deployment, and contributes to ongoing support of computer

• Develops, tests and implements simple computer application systems and programs using UN established standards for IT technologies, programming languages and tools.
• Serves as team member in the planning, specification, design, development, implementation and support of computer application systems; independently liaises with users to define and specify requirements.

Under the overall guidance of the Chief IT S, the direct supervision of the IT Data Engineer (DPS/ITS) and in close co-operation with Strategic Planning, Performance and Governance (SPPG) section, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

• Participates in the development, programming, testing, debugging and implementation of new application systems releases, modules and functionalities.
• Develops, tests and implements simple computer application systems and programs using UN established standards for IT technologies, programming languages and tools.
• Serves as team member in the planning, specification, design, development, implementation and support of computer application systems; independently liaises with users to define and specify requirements.
