Zusammenfassung

FenX is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Equipment Development Engineer to develop, test, and industrialise process equipment for mineral foam production. The role spans concept to industrial transfer, with collaboration among suppliers, engineering partners, and customers and a strong focus on practical problem solving.

Based in Turgi (Baden) near Zürich, the position involves about 30% travel to supplier sites for testing, commissioning, and alignment.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in equipment development, machine design, or related industrial environments.
• Strong mechanical design and CAD skills with hands-on building and testing experience.
• Experience in multidisciplinary teams and with external partners.
• Knowledge of sensors, actuators, controls, instrumentation, and data acquisition.
• Travel willingness and ability.
• Fluent English and good German proficiency.

Aufgaben

• Lead equipment development projects from concept to commissioning and industrial transfer.
• Prepare functional specifications and technical requirements for process equipment.
• Create CAD models, drawings, prototypes, and test setups.
• Support installation, commissioning, validation, and optimization at customer sites.
• Collaborate with external partners to transfer concepts to industrial solutions.
• Maintain engineering documentation and know-how for scale-up.
