Zusammenfassung

FenX in Switzerland seeks a hands-on Mechanical Equipment Development Engineer to lead end-to-end development of production equipment for mineral foam. You will design, prototype, test, and industrialize solutions, coordinating with suppliers and partners to ensure smooth transfer to production.

Based in Turgi (Baden) with ~30% travel, you will own projects from concept through commissioning, build robust documentation, and support scale‑up and industrialization efforts across multidisciplinary

Qualifikationen

• Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, product development, process engineering, or related technical discipline
• 3–5 years experience in equipment development or related environments
• Strong mechanical design and CAD skills with hands-on build/test/commissioning
• Experience in multidisciplinary teams and with external partners
• Good understanding of sensors, actuators, controls, instrumentation, and data acquisition
• Hands-on, self-starter with builder mindset
• Willingness to travel; fluent English and working proficiency in German

Aufgaben

• Lead equipment development projects from concept through commissioning
• Prepare functional specifications and technical requirements for process equipment and machinery
• Create CAD models, technical drawings, prototypes, and experimental test setups
• Support installation, commissioning, validation, and optimisation at customer site
• Collaborate with external engineering and machinery partners to transfer validated concepts
• Build and maintain engineering documentation and know-how to support scale-up and industrialization
