Initially a fixed-term 2-year contract, the role emphasizes teamwork across disciplines, quality data processing, and continuous on-the-job development in a dynamic research environment.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or professional qualification in chemistry with higher professional examination for chemical laboratory technicians, or equivalent expertise.
• Extensive practical experience in ICP-OES and ICP-MS, including sample preparation, method development, troubleshooting, and data interpretation.
• Basic to intermediate experience with GC-MS and LC-MS.
• Good computer skills, particularly in analytical and spectroscopy data processing software.
• Very good command of English; German is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Perform chemical analyses using ICP-OES and ICP-MS, with occasional support for GC-MS and LC-MS measurements.
• Support the development, validation, and optimization of analytical methods under supervision, primarily for ICP-based analyses.
• Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instruments.
• Evaluate, document, and report analytical results.
• Provide technical advice and analytical support within multidisciplinary project team.
• Ensure safe, organized, and efficient laboratory operations.
• Assist in training and supporting apprentices, interns, students, and researchers in analytical techniques.
