The PSI Paul Scherrer Institut seeks a Laboratory Technician for the Advanced Analytics Platform group. You will perform ICP-OES and ICP-MS analyses, support method development, and ensure instruments are calibrated and safe to operate. You will document results and assist in training apprentices and students.

Initially a fixed-term 2-year contract, the role emphasizes teamwork across disciplines, quality data processing, and continuous on-the-job development in a dynamic research environment.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or professional qualification in chemistry with higher professional examination for chemical laboratory technicians, or equivalent expertise.
• Extensive practical experience in ICP-OES and ICP-MS, including sample preparation, method development, troubleshooting, and data interpretation.
• Basic to intermediate experience with GC-MS and LC-MS.
• Good computer skills, particularly in analytical and spectroscopy data processing software.
• Very good command of English; German is desirable.
