Novelis Sierre in Switzerland is seeking a Metallurgy Modeling Scientist to develop an Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) framework and predictive microstructure models for industrial-scale applications.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Materials Science or related field (PhD preferred) with strong physical metallurgy knowledge; proficiency in Python/MATLAB and tools like VPSC, DAMASK, CP-FEM is a plus. Fluency in English; French is an advantage.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Computational Engineering, or related field.
• PhD preferred; strong knowledge of texture evolution, recrystallization and precipitation.
• Experience with ICME and materials modelling tools; programming and data analysis skills.

Aufgaben

• Develop an integrated ICME framework combining physics-based models, data-driven approaches, and digital tools.
• Translate aluminium alloy metallurgy knowledge into predictive microstructure and performance models.
• Collaborate with production sites to ensure adoption and value realization.
