As HR Business Partner EMEA, you are the trusted advisor for managers and employees across Switzerland, Germany, and Portugal, partnering with the business to align people strategies with organizational objectives. You drive key HR initiatives across the employee lifecycle, including talent management, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development, while ensuring compliance with local labor laws and HR policies. Working closely with business leaders and global HR stakeholders, you contribute to building a high-performance culture and enhancing employee engagement across the region. In addition, you support global HR projects and help shape HR programs that enable sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Act as the HR Business Partner for Switzerland, Germany, and Portugal, supporting leaders and employees across the full employee lifecycle.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on all HR matters, including employee retention, talent management, performance management, succession planning, employee development, and employee relations.
- Drive the implementation of HR strategies, policies, and initiatives in alignment with business objectives and local legal requirements.
- Oversee payroll processing, social insurance administration, and employee benefits for Switzerland, Germany and Portugal, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a positive employee experience.
- Support talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives to strengthen organizational capabilities.
- Manage complex employee relations matters, complaints, and workplace conflicts, ensuring fair and pragmatic resolutions.
- Partner closely with the HR Operations team to ensure efficient and compliant delivery of HR administration and employee services across the region.
- Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics, providing insights and recommendations to business leaders.
- Support organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
- Participate in global HR projects and strategic people initiatives in collaboration with the Global Head HR & Talent Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent qualification with advanced HR certification.
- Several years of experience as an HR Business Partner in an international or multinational environment, ideally supporting EMEA operations.
- Strong knowledge of labor law, social insurance, and employment practices, particularly in Switzerland and Germany.
- Proven experience in payroll administration for Switzerland, exposure to german and portuguese payroll processes is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and communication skills with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex people challenges and translate business needs into pragmatic HR solutions.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop HR team members.
- Proactive, resilient, hands-on, and adaptable personality with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and perform in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
