Job summary

Sonova is hiring a Hardware Integration Engineer to contribute to the development of hearing instrument systems. You will translate product requirements into robust electronic and electroacoustic designs, integrate subsystems, and build prototypes within interdisciplinary agile R&D teams.

You will work hands-on with hardware, perform measurements, and develop tools to support testing and validation. Excellent knowledge of electrical engineering, acoustics and RF is essential, with strong

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Very good knowledge of electrical engineering, acoustics, measurement technologies and RF engineering.
• Experience with PCB design, wireless technologies, electronic measurements and hardware prototyping.
• Experience developing software for controlling measurement equipment (MATLAB, Arduino, C#, Python).
• Structured, system-oriented and quality-conscious approach with creativity and technical curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware solutions for hearing instrument systems, translating product requirements into robust electronic and electroacoustic designs.
• Integrate hardware subsystems and define electroacoustic transducers to ensure effective performance of the complete hearing system.
• Design and build hearing system prototypes, including soldering and handling small components.
• Define and execute hardware measurements and testing with clear criteria and quality characteristics.
• Develop software tools for measurement systems to support hardware development and validation.
• Contribute to R&D development processes within interdisciplinary agile teams.
• Collaborate across R&D and support onboarding and hiring where needed.
• Contribute to IP development and follow quality procedures.
