Job summary

The Global Fund in Geneva is seeking a Specialist in Surveillance, Strategy, Investment & Evidence Division to support two related objectives: strengthening country health intelligence through data governance and interoperable data use, and enabling a catalytic regional investment for cross-border risk assessment and outbreak response.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in epidemiology or public health.
• Medical degree with training in applied epidemiology.
• Experience in disease surveillance, health intelligence, digital health, or related fields.
• Experience advising governments or international organizations on health surveillance and governance.
• Ability to translate complex technical issues into practical investment recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide grant surveillance and health intelligence technical advice to Country Teams and departments.
• Contribute to grant design by providing inputs on governance, data standards and interoperability.
• Coordinate surveillance project implementation, budgets, risks and reporting.
• Develop and disseminate resources like reference architectures and frameworks for country use.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, capturing meetings and driving follow-ups.
