Job summary

Altus Search Ltd's client in Zürich seeks a Head of Trading Services to lead the dealing team, oversee order execution across asset classes, and improve trading platforms and processes.

You will develop relationships with brokers and counterparties, drive automation, and ensure efficient settlement and risk controls, while liaising with clients and internal teams. Fluency in English is essential; German language is advantageous.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the dealing team and oversee daily activity across international markets.
• Manage order execution across equities, bonds, FX, derivatives, ETFs, commodities, and digital assets.
• Assess trading infrastructure and drive improvements through automation and data analysis.
• Grow broker and counterparty relationships and negotiate terms and execution costs.
• Coordinate with operations to resolve settlement queries and maintain efficient processing.
• Review dealing charges and counterparty fees, ensuring sound MI and controls.
• Identify commercial opportunities and contribute to the development of the dealing business.

Our client is looking for aHead of Trading Services to manage its dealing team and develop its execution capabilities in Zurich. The individual will be responsible for delivering an efficient trading service, strengthening counterparty relationships, and driving improvements across systems and processes.

Duties Include:

• Lead the dealing team and oversee its daily activities across international markets.
• Manage order execution across equities, bonds, foreign exchange, derivatives, ETFs, commodities, and digital assets.
• Assess trading infrastructure and introduce improvements through automation and data analysis.
• Expand relationships with brokers and trading counterparties, negotiating commercial terms and execution costs.
• Coordinate with operational teams to resolve settlement queries and maintain efficient processing.
• Review client dealing charges, counterparty fees, and management information.
• Strengthen operational controls and reduce manual intervention in trade processing.
• Identify commercial opportunities and contribute to the development of the dealing business.

The preferred candidate will ideally have relevant trading experience within financial services, combined with strong knowledge of different asset classes, market liquidity, and execution methods. Fluency English is essential. Additional languages like German and an interest in digital assets would be advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, counterparties, and internal teams are also required.
