Semax AG is seeking a Head of Software Development to shape our software strategy and lead a dedicated development team in Switzerland. You will drive architecture, ensure code quality, and align projects with the product roadmap while collaborating with product management, hardware, ICT, and external partners.

Success requires strategic thinking, inspiring leadership, and strong communication in German and English.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, or comparable field.
• Experience in a leadership role in software development.
• Understanding of agile work methods and proficiency in using tools like Scrum, Kanban, Jira.
• Solid understanding of modern software architectures, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Azure DevOps, microservices, container technologies).

• Develop and implement the software development strategy in alignment with the Director of Innovation.
• Establish, manage, and grow an interdisciplinary software development team.
• Promote a modern engineering culture focused on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee software architecture, ensure code quality, scalability, and security.
• Prioritize and manage development projects according to the product roadmap.
• Actively participate in selected development projects and enhance existing software solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product management, hardware development, ICT, and external partners.
• Monitor and integrate relevant technology trends (cloud, AI, DevOps, microservices).

Development and implementation of the software development strategy in close coordination with the Director of Innovation

Establishment, management, and further development of an interdisciplinary software development team

Promoting a modern engineering culture with a focus on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Responsibility for software architecture and ensuring code quality,scalability, and security

Prioritization and management of development projects in accordance with the product roadmap

Active participation in selected development projects and the further development of existing software solutions
