Job summary

Mosaic School in Switzerland seeks a Head of Learning to lead teaching excellence, ensuring a high-quality bilingual education across the Primary School in alignment with ISP standards and Mosaic’s educational philosophy.

The role drives curriculum design, professional development, safeguarding, and stakeholder engagement, while coordinating with ISP teams to deliver innovative learning experiences and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Educational Leadership: Define, implement and oversee the school's educational strategy in alignment with Mosaic's bilingual philosophy.
• Curriculum and Learning Leadership: Oversee curriculum design and ongoing development in line with PER and ISP expectations.
• Teacher Support and Development: Lead and coach teachers, organise observations and professional development plans.
• Educational Quality Assurance: Monitor academic outcomes and drive improvement actions.
• Bilingual Programme Coordination: Ensure coherence of the French-English bilingual pathway.
• Student Achievement and Inclusion: Promote inclusive teaching and student wellbeing.
• Team Management: Lead staff, coordinate recruitment and performance evaluation.
• Relationships with Families and the School Community: Communicate educational priorities to families and attend events.
• Partnership with ISP: Collaborate with ISP Learning teams and implement ISP initiatives.
• Safeguarding, Health, Safety and Compliance: Ensure safeguarding and safety policies are followed.
• Budget Management: Contribute to budget planning and monitoring for the Primary School.
• Project Leadership and HR Management: Lead educational projects and coordinate teams.
• Staff cover and Replacement: Plan and manage staff cover during absences.
• Implementation of ISP Educational Initiatives: Implement ISP educational programs and share best practices across ISP.
• Collaboration with the IT Department: Work with IT to integrate digital tools into learning.
• Admissions and Family Retention: Support student recruitment and onboarding.
• Educational Administration: Ensure quality and compliance of educational documentation.
