Job summary

Adaptyv is hiring its first dedicated finance leader to design and deploy an AI-powered finance stack for a cutting-edge automated biology lab. You’ll model and manage the full P&L, cash, and pricing across Swiss and US entities, driving automation and scalable financial processes.

The role requires hands-on finance leadership, strong modeling, and API-enabled systems experience, with a view to expanding finance across a rapidly growing company.

Qualifications

• Several years in finance at a startup that actually scaled.
• A real model that ties operational reality to cash and that survives changes.
• Proficiency in SQL at minimum; Python preferred; API-enabled systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the forecast from lab capacity, throughput, price per protein, and P&L.
• Own gross margin, cost of experiments, and product/customer profitability.
• Own pricing decisions and rationales, including floor setting.
• Own the close and intercompany consolidation across entities.
• Manage cash across multiple accounts and payments; monitor timing.
• Ensure tax, VAT, payroll, audits, and external firms compliance.
• Prepare investor reporting and treasury management materials.
• Oversee asset management and equipment financing decisions.
• Automate finance processes and build tooling to scale.
