Panda International is seeking a Head of Downstream Processing (DSP) Manufacturing to lead a multidisciplinary team in a regulated biopharmaceutical environment. You will own safety, quality, GMP compliance and on-time production delivery, while shaping strategic manufacturing initiatives.

You will drive operational excellence, develop talent and collaborate with MSAT, QA and other stakeholders to ensure robust manufacturing performance and readiness for future site growth.

Qualifikationen

• MSc or equivalent in biotechnology, bioengineering, chemistry or chemical engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in biotechnological manufacturing.
• Strong experience in downstream processing and GMP manufacturing environments.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary manufacturing teams.
• Fluent English and German are required.
• Audits, inspections and customer interactions desirable.

Aufgaben

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of process engineers, manufacturing specialists, shift leads and biotechnologists.
• Take overall responsibility for safety, quality, GMP compliance and on-time production delivery.
• Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement and process standardisation.
• Manage performance, talent development, workforce planning and recruitment.
• Oversee resource and capacity planning, training and operational readiness.
• Collaborate closely with MSAT, QA, USP Operations, Production Support and other key stakeholders.
• Represent manufacturing during customer meetings, audits and regulatory inspections.
• Provide technical and quality oversight, including change controls, risk assessments and GMP documentation.
• Support capital investment, facility expansion, commissioning, qualification and implementation of new technologies.
• Contribute to the overall manufacturing strategy as a member of the leadership team.
• Act as Deputy Head of Operations when required.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Head of Downstream Processing (DSP) Manufacturing to lead a multidisciplinary manufacturing organisation within a biopharmaceutical environment.

You will have overall responsibility for the performance, people, safety, quality and delivery of the DSP manufacturing area and will be a key member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team.

Your Profile

• MSc or equivalent in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in biotechnological manufacturing.
• Strong experience in Downstream Processing and GMP manufacturing environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary manufacturing teams.
• Strong track record in operational excellence, continuous improvement and KPI management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong business acumen and ability to make data-driven operational decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and motivate teams.
• Experience with audits, inspections and customer interactions is highly desirable.
• Fluent English and German are required.
• Strong adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset.
