Job summary

Bank J. Safra Sarasin AG in Basel seeks a Head Fund Operations to lead a three-person team across Swiss and Luxembourg funds. You will oversee data flows, validate metrics, and coordinate with the fund administrator and auditors, driving automation improvements.

The role requires strong leadership, long-term governance mindset, and deep knowledge of Swiss/Luxembourg fund frameworks with a hands-on, data-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Higher education in Finance, Business/Economics, Accounting or related field.
• 7+ years of practical experience in fund controlling, fund accounting, fund administration or fund audit.
• Knowledge of Swiss and Luxembourg fund frameworks (CISA/FINMA/AMAS, UCITS/CSSF).
• Experience with NAV oversight vis-à-vis a fund administrator.
• Experience with CACEIS is advantageous.
• Proficiency in scripting, Excel, databases and structured data (SQL).
• Track record in automating data and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Fund Operations team of three employees across Swiss and Luxembourg funds.
• Oversee fund data flows, ensure data quality and manage the system provider relationship.
• Calculate/validate fund metrics (TER, PTR, OGC, costs) and manage PRIIPs KID production.
• Act as NAV data counterpart with CACEIS and handle NAV errors.
• Contribute valuation decisions as member of the Valuation Committee.
• Coordinate audits and tax advisors; verify fund-related invoices.
• Oversee factsheet production and monthly manager reports.

Your Role

AsHead Fund Operations at J. Safra Sarasin Investmentfonds, you areresponsible for fund data management, cost transparency, NAV oversight and fund reporting across the full Swiss and Luxembourg fund range, and act as a member of the Valuation Committee. You will providehands-on leadership to a small expert team, with strong data and automation skills to raise the quality and efficiency of fund operations processes (including tax related matters).

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Fund Operations team of three employees, covering the full Swiss and Luxembourg fund range
• Oversee the fund data flows into internal systems, ensure data quality and completeness, and manage the relationship with the system provider
• Calculate and/or validate fund metrics, (TER, PTR, OGC, transaction costs, etc.) and manage the PRIIPs KID production
• Act as counterpart to CACEIS on NAV data, including plausibility checks and handling of NAV errors
• Contribute valuation decisions as a member of the Valuation Committee
• Steer the annual and semi-annual fund reports, coordinate auditors and tax advisors, and verify fund-related invoices
• Oversee factsheet production, monthly manager reports and recurring reporting to wholesale clients

Your Profile

• Higher education (university / FH) inFinance, Business/Economics, Accounting or a related field
• 7+years of practical experience in the field offund controlling, fund accounting, fund administration or fund audit
• Sound knowledge of Swiss and Luxembourg fund frameworks (CISA/FINMA/AMAS, UCITS/CSSF) and experience in NAV oversight vis-à-vis a fund administrator
• Working experience with CACEIS is advantageous
• Experience with or comparable scripting as well asadvanced Excel, databases and structured data (e.g. SQL)
• Successful track record inautomating data and reporting processes is a strongadvantage
• Hands-on mentality andability to work with various stakeholders
• Strong work ethics, integrity and high level of accountability
• Leadership experience is beneficial
• Fluency in English; fluency in and French is a plus
