Job summary

VAT Group, a leading supplier of vacuum valves, is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager. You will partner with business units and operations to sustain the Global Category Management Operating Model and ensure best-cost supply for future needs, focusing on elastomer, rubber and plastics.

You will guide category strategies, manage supplier relationships globally, and contribute to cost optimization and footprint improvements across sites in Switzerland, Malaysia and Romania.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Procurement or related field.
• 4–8 years of strategic sourcing experience in global direct materials.
• Experience dealing with EMS suppliers and components.
• Experience with category-specific production techniques and processes.
• Experience in a global complex organization with cross-cultural change management.
• Strong contract negotiation skills in global manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage own material categories ( Elastomer, Rubber, Plastics ) and drive cost optimization.
• Contribute to Direct Materials Category Team's alignment with company objectives.
• Represent direct material categories within VAT Group organization.
• Develop category sourcing strategies using defined methods and tools.
• Maintain active supplier relationships across Switzerland, Malaysia and Romania.
