VAT Group in Haag, Switzerland, is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Manager for Forging & Casting. This permanent, on-site role partners with business units, engineering, and operations to shape global sourcing strategies and ensure supply capability at best cost.

You will apply sustainable supplier assessments, drive category management, and realize measurable value through cost reductions while growing a Best Cost Country supply base across regions.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in-depth strategic and operational sourcing experience.
• Experience in global category management and cost optimization.
• Knowledge of sourcing markets in Eastern Europe and Asia.
• Experience with machine building, vacuum technology or semiconductors is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in German and English.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for forging and casting.
• Partner with BU, Engineering and Operations to align sourcing plans.
• Maintain the Global Strategic Sourcing Operating Model and ensure supplier performance.
• Apply sustainable supplier assessments and drive QCD improvements.
• Lead category sourcing strategies and cross‑functional boards.
• Monitor supply base risk and drive continuous improvement.
