Job summary

Everest is seeking a VP, Reserving Actuary to lead the Global Reserving function and oversee reserve adequacy across Insurance and Reinsurance portfolios. You will partner with senior leaders and the Global Chief Reserving Actuary to provide credible reserve analyses that inform strategic decisions.

The role requires FCAS and 15+ years of P&C actuarial experience, with proven leadership and the ability to communicate complex reserve insights to executives.

Qualifications

• FCAS designation required.
• 15+ years of property & casualty actuarial experience.
• Extensive reserving leadership across commercial lines or reinsurance.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to present reserve recommendations to executive management.
• Demonstrated people leadership and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly and annual reserve reviews across multiple business segments.
• Oversee the development and communication of reserve indications and recommendations.
• Partner with Finance leadership regarding reserve booking decisions and financial reporting.
• Mentor actuaries and foster collaboration across Reserving, Pricing, Claims, Finance and Underwriting.
