Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Reporting Production and Ownership
  • Lead the end‑to‑end production of Swiss and international prudential regulatory returns (e.g. capital adequacy, LCR, NSFR, large exposures, COREP and statistical reports), ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely submission across all in‑scope entities.
  • Define and manage the operational reporting calendar, including resource planning and sequencing of monthly, quarterly and annual submissions across different time zones.
  • Establish, document and maintain audit‑ready reporting processes, controls and reconciliations that support operational excellence and a high level of data integrity.
Regulatory Interpretation and Complex Analysis
  • Interpret and apply relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g. Basel III, FINMA Ordinances and Circulars, CRR/CRD and other European, Asian and offshore prudential regimes) to define clear reporting requirements and data rules.
  • Perform advanced analyses on capital and liquidity metrics, explaining key movements, trends and sensitivities to senior stakeholders in Finance, Risk and Treasury.
  • Design pragmatic solutions for non‑standard transactions and data gaps, balancing regulatory expectations, operational feasibility and long‑term sustainability.
Change Management, Projects and Automation
  • Monitor regulatory developments across all jurisdictions in scope and assess their impact on reporting architecture, data models and processes.
  • Act as business owner or functional lead for regulatory and IT change initiatives, defining business requirements, test cases and acceptance criteria for new or enhanced reporting tools.
  • Drive automation and process improvement initiatives (e.g. enhancements to reporting systems and control dashboards) to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort and strengthen control.
Advisory, Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
  • Advise Finance, Risk, Treasury and Front Office on the regulatory implications of new products, transactions and structural balance sheet changes.
  • Represent Regulatory Reporting in cross‑functional working groups, ensuring regulatory requirements are embedded in upstream processes and systems.
  • Build strong relationships with local CFOs and finance teams across the Group, promoting consistent standards and fostering a culture of accountability for data quality.
Leadership, Coaching and Best Practice
  • Provide expert guidance, coaching and review to junior team members, promoting best practice in regulatory interpretation, documentation and stakeholder communication.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Regulatory Reporting function by sharing knowledge, standardising methodologies and supporting the development of internal expertise.

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification and/or professional certification (e.g. CPA, CFA, FRM or equivalent) is a strong asset.
  • Typically 8–12 years of experience in private banking or financial services, with a focus on Regulatory Reporting, Financial Accounting, Risk or Audit.
  • Proven experience working with Swiss prudential regulation and exposure to at least one other international regime (e.g. European, Asian or offshore centres).
Technical and Functional Expertise
  • Deep understanding of prudential regulatory frameworks relevant to EFG (e.g. Basel III, FINMA Ordinances and Circulars, CRR/CRD‑based European frameworks, and Basel‑derived regimes in Asia and offshore centres).
  • Strong grasp of how regulatory requirements translate into data structures, systems architecture and reporting processes.
  • Solid knowledge of related functions (Risk, Treasury, Accounting, Private Banking) and their interdependencies, with the ability to integrate perspectives when designing reporting solutions.
  • High proficiency in Excel and regulatory reporting tools; experience working with large data sets and complex reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with data querying and visualisation tools is an advantage, as is experience in building analytical and control dashboards.
