more-jobs is seeking a Global Project Manager (Assay Development) to lead cross-functional product development programs in a healthcare diagnostics setting. You will drive projects from concept through implementation, coordinating scientific, software and commercial teams worldwide.

The role requires experience in both SAFe and Waterfall environments, strong stakeholder management, and hands-on use of Azure DevOps/Jira.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Diagnostics, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of project management experience in product development, R&D, diagnostics, medical devices or healthcare technology.
  • Proven assay development experience.
  • Strong background with Software Engineering teams.
  • Experience delivering projects using Waterfall and Agile (SAFe or Hybrid).
  • Experience establishing and maintaining project plans, timelines, budgets and governance structures.
  • Hands-on use of project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Planisware, Jira or similar.
  • Risk management, critical path analysis and scenario planning expertise.
  • Ability to influence multidisciplinary global teams without direct reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation and workshop-moderation skills.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.

Aufgaben

  • Establish and implement project structures for product development and product care activities.
  • Develop and monitor integrated project plans, timelines, budgets and resource plans.

  • Define and report KPIs, OKRs and performance metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement across PM practices.

For one of our clients, a leading international healthcare and diagnostics company based in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a Global Project Manager (Assay Development) (m/f/d) to join a high-impact product development organization responsible for delivering innovative diagnostic solutions to healthcare professionals worldwide.

Within this environment, Project Management serves as a critical capability, enabling teams to deliver value efficiently while ensuring alignment across research, development, software engineering, portfolio management, and commercial organizations.

As a Global Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept initiation through development and implementation. You will establish governance structures, coordinate timelines and resources, manage risks and budgets, facilitate milestone reviews, and ensure transparent communication across all stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced project management professional with a strong background in Assay Development and Software Engineering. The ideal candidate combines scientific understanding with structured project leadership and brings proven experience operating in both Agile (SAFe) and Waterfall environments.

Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery (70%)
  • Establish and implement project structures for product development and product care activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Ensure alignment across scientific, software engineering, and functional teams.
  • Coordinate project activities from concept development through completion.
  • Facilitate milestone reviews, governance meetings, and decision-making processes.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and bottlenecks.
  • Conduct critical path analyses and scenario planning to support effective decision-making.
  • Support budget planning, cost control, and resource forecasting activities.
  • Provide transparent and timely project reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to project teams and functional partners.
Agile & Continuous Improvement (30%)
  • Select, implement, and coach teams on appropriate project methodologies.
  • Support Agile delivery practices within SAFe and Hybrid environments.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and organizational alignment.
  • Define, track, and report project KPIs, OKRs, and performance metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project management practices.
  • Share best practices, lessons learned, and project management standards across teams.
  • Support portfolio-level planning, prioritization, and strategic decision-making activities.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Diagnostics, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of project management experience within product development, R&D, diagnostics, medical devices, healthcare technology, or related industries.
  • Proven experience in Assay Development.
  • Strong background and practical experience working with Software Engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in both Waterfall and Agile project delivery methods, including SAFe or Hybrid environments.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocations, dependencies, and governance structures.
  • Hands-on experience using project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Planisware, Jira, or comparable platforms.
  • Strong project risk management, critical path analysis, and scenario-planning capabilities.
  • Ability to coordinate and influence multidisciplinary global teams without direct reporting responsibility.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and workshop-moderation skills.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.

  • Previous experience serving as Agile Program Manager within SAFe environments.
