LHH is seeking a Global Project Manager (Lab Automation) to lead multidisciplinary development projects in laboratory automation and integrated diagnostic systems in the Zurich area. You'll manage timelines, budgets, resources, communication plans, governance, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement across international teams.

The role requires 3–5 years in lab automation, strong chemistry/biochemistry knowledge, and experience with Agile/SAFe, Waterfall, and hybrid methods.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of project management experience within laboratory automation, diagnostics, biotech, pharmaceuticals, or related industries.
• Proven experience in Lab Automation environments.

• Experience managing automation systems, instrumentation, or laboratory workflows.

• Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Planisware, Jira.
• Experience with budgeting, planning, resource management, and risk mitigation.

As a Global Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary development projects focused on laboratory automation technologies. You will manage timelines, budgets, resources, communication plans, governance activities, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement across international teams.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution (70%)

• Establish project governance structures and implementation frameworks.

Agile Delivery & Organizational Excellence (30%)

• Coach teams on project methodologies and Agile best practices.
• Support SAFe and Hybrid delivery models where applicable.
• Define and report KPIs, OKRs, and project performance indicators.
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across project teams.
• Promote best-practice sharing and knowledge transfer within project management communities.
• Collaborate with portfolio management, finance, analytics, and functional departments.
• Support portfolio-level planning and organizational decision-making processes.
• Contribute to strengthening project management standards and operational excellence across the organization.

Your profile:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, Life Sciences, Laboratory Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of project management experience within laboratory automation, diagnostics, biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or related industries.
• Proven experience in Lab Automation environments.
• Strong technical understanding of Biochemistry and Chemistry applications.
• Demonstrated experience managing technical development projects involving automation systems, instrumentation, or laboratory workflows.
• Strong expertise in Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, and Hybrid project methodologies.
• Hands-on experience using project management software such as Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Planisware, Jira, or comparable tools.
Practical experience with project planning, budgeting, resource management, and risk mitigation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and leadership capabilities.
