Qualifications

• Understanding of chemical composition in instruments and packaging.
• Experience with Tableau dashboards and data pipelines in Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Support a Global Data Migration Project to move data from SAP EHSM to EHSM S4 HANA.
• Modernise the chemical data model for seamless migration.
• Ensure data accuracy by preparing load files and post-load checks.
• Automate reports and reduce manual tasks for project efficiency.
• Contribute to project meetings with SME input and updates.
• Use project tools to monitor health and milestones.

SAP EHS Data Expert - Europe - Remote

Here at RED, we are looking for an SAP EHS Data Expert - to start on an S/4 HANA implementation project for one of our global end clients.

The consultant is expected to start November 2026 and for an initial 6 months contract with a possibility of extension. The project will be a mainly remote with travel to Switzerland once a month

Description:

Assure global environmental regulatory compliance and sustainability for our Diagnostic Instruments, Consumables, and Packaging. This encompasses adherence to a broad spectrum of global regulations, including e.g. REACH, RoHS, California Proposition 65, TSCA, POP, Conflict Minerals, and the Packaging Directive.

Support a Global Data Migration Project to migrate large sets of Chemical Legislation Data from the current SAP EHSM Solution to the new Solution in EHSM S4 HANA.

Drive the modernisation of our chemical data model by translating and transforming chemical data structures from legacy systems into S4/HANA-compatible formats to ensure seamless data migration

Ensure data accuracy and integrity by preparing load files and performing post-load verification checks applying automation and mass load tools

Drive operational efficiency by simplifying processes, emphasising the automation of manual tasks and promoting automated report generation.

Actively contribute to project meetings by offering valuable insights, updates, and subject-matter expertise

Utilise project management tools to monitor project health, ensure timely execution, and maintain momentum across key milestones.

Requirements:

EHSM experience 5+ years

S4 HANA experience 2+ years

Strong knowledge of environmental regulatory frameworks, including global environmental regulations such as REACH, RoHS, California Proposition 65, TSCA, POP, Conflict Minerals, and the Packaging Directive.

Good understanding of the chemical composition of materials used in instruments, electronic devices and packaging.

In-depth experience with interactive, real-time Tableau dashboards and data pipelines in Snowflake.

Experience utilising Material Declaration Data Management Systems for the comprehensive evaluation, maintenance, and verification of large-scale material declaration datasets (such as SAP EH&S(M) or equivalents).
