Zusammenfassung

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions seeks a Lead Data Architect to act as senior Design Authority within the Data Architecture team. You will provide architectural leadership across a globally distributed group and ensure consistent application of standards while guiding complex cross-domain data challenges.

The role requires deep modelling expertise, governance engagement, and hands-on experience with modern data platforms.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 10+ years in Data Architecture, Information Architecture, or Enterprise Data Management with 2+ years in team leadership.
• Expert in conceptual, logical and physical data modelling; experience with CASE tools such as PowerDesigner.
• Hands-on design/build of modern data architecture including data warehouse and Lakehouse.
• Strong SQL or PySpark knowledge for complex data analysis.
• Experience in SDLC and Agile/SCRUM environments.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience with data governance and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with modern data platforms (Palantir Foundry, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Insurance/Re-Insurance industry experience is highly desirable.
• Proven track record in global, complex environments.

Aufgaben

• Lead and mentor a globally distributed team of data architects.
• Act as Design Authority for Data Architecture across Corporate Solutions.
• Review/assure solution architectures, data models, and integration designs.
• Provide guidance on complex data architecture initiatives.
• Manage data architecture artefacts (Canonical Model, Data Catalogue, metadata).
• Coordinate architecture activities across domains to embed data quality and governance.
• Ensure consistency of data models across domains.
• Collaborate with governance and group data services to ensure compliance.
