UN Secretariat in Geneva invites a Human Rights Officer to advance the Global Alliance for Human Rights's strategic objectives. You will develop partnerships, coordinate advocacy, manage projects, and mobilize resources within a time-bound initiative marking the 80th anniversary of the UDHR.

The role requires at least 5 years in human rights or related fields, strong stakeholder engagement, program management experience in international settings, and fluency in English and French.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in human rights, law, political science, international relations, social sciences, public policy, or related field is required.
• A first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying work experience may substitute for the advanced degree.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in human rights or related fields is required.

Aufgaben

• Develop and curate partnership-building activities with diverse stakeholders and donors.
• Support catalytic initiatives and activations by translating strategy into work plans.
• Provide advisory and substantive support to counterparts for human rights initiatives.
• Contribute to resource mobilization and outreach by developing proposals and managing funding mechanisms.
• Engage in advocacy, communications, events, and reporting, and analyze engagement data.
• Support programming and project management by tracking activities and timelines and ensuring compliance.
• Contribute to data analysis and management, including developing human rights indicators.
• Manage junior staff, consultants, and contractors as required.
