Qualifications

• Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering or related leadership roles.
• Experience leading engineering managers and multidisciplinary teams in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Strong strategic planning capabilities translating business priorities into actionable engineering strategies and operational plans.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex engineering projects including budget oversight and resource planning.
• Solid technical understanding of manufacturing equipment, maintenance strategies and reliability.
• Knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory compliance and EH&S standards.
• Experience driving operational excellence and process optimization to enhance performance.
• Sound financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and investment prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to multiple engineering teams and managers, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Develop and implement long-term manufacturing engineering strategies aligned with Takeda's objectives.
• Oversee design, construction, testing, operation, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and systems.
• Lead complex projects ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and compliant with safety standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, reliability, and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and environmental, health & safety policies.
• Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and investment planning.
• Partner with stakeholders, providing technical guidance and effective communication on priorities.
• Develop engineering capabilities through talent development and policy implementation.
