Job summary

Michael Page is looking for an experienced accounting professional to own local finance activities across Switzerland, Germany, and Austria and to support global finance teams. You will coordinate statutory statements, manage audits, and ensure compliance with Swiss GAAP and US GAAP while liaising with external advisors.

The role requires strong tax knowledge, ERP/NetSuite skills, and fluent German and English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred (CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, Expert Suisse or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting, controllership, or reporting functions.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Swiss GAAP reporting requirements.
• Experience coordinating statutory audits and working with external advisors.

Responsibilities

• Own local finance and accounting activities across Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.
• Coordinate and review statutory financial statements and management reporting.
• Act as the primary finance contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Support Swiss statutory audits and ongoing tax and customs-related reviews.
• Liaise with third-party accounting providers responsible for local books and records.
• Partner with global shared services teams on reporting and accounting matters.
• Review financial results, balance sheet positions, and key accounting issues.
• Ensure compliance with Swiss GAAP, US GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Support local tax enquiries, documentation requests, and regulatory submissions.
• Drive process improvements and maintain a robust internal control environment.
• Provide business support, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting to headquarters.
• Lead and develop a small local finance team.
