Zusammenfassung

BOBST is seeking a Field Service & Commissioning Engineer – Automation & Motion Control for its Mex (VD) site, offering a full-time permanent role. You will commission automated lines in Switzerland and internationally, with 50-60% travel, often on extended assignments.

You will diagnose complex automation issues, program Siemens TIA Portal and S7, configure drives, and train customer teams. English at B2 level required; travel-heavy, autonomous role across global projects.

Qualifikationen

Degree or equivalent in Automation, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
Strong knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens S7 environments.
Experience reading electrical schematics and commissioning control cabinets.

Aufgaben

Commission automated production lines in Switzerland and internationally.
Perform retrofit, modernization, and upgrade projects on existing installations.
Independently plan and organize on-site commissioning activities.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to automation, motion control and electrical systems.
Program, modify, and optimize automation systems using Siemens TIA Portal and S7.
Train customer maintenance and production teams.
