Job summary

BOBST is seeking a Field Service & Commissioning Engineer – Automation & Motion Control for its Mex (VD) site, with about 50-60% international travel. You will commission automated production lines, retrofit and upgrade existing installations, and independently manage on-site activities in highly automated environments.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree in automation/electrical/mechatronics, with strong Siemens TIA Portal/S7 skills and robust troubleshooting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in Automation, Electrical or Mechatronics.
• Proven experience with Siemens TIA Portal and S7 environments.
• Strong knowledge of drive systems and motion control.

Responsibilities

• Commission automated production lines in Switzerland and internationally.
• Perform retrofit, modernization, and upgrade projects on existing installations.
• Independently plan and organize on-site commissioning activities.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in automation, motion control, and electrical systems.
• Program, modify, and optimize automation systems using Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens S7.
