TORQCOMMODITIES is seeking a Coffee Trader to lead the profitable physical green coffee business, focusing on origins from Ethiopia. You will own the trading cycle from origin development and market analysis to pricing, hedging, contract execution and logistics coordination.

You will combine a strong Ethiopian sourcing network with disciplined risk management and cross-functional execution. This senior role requires extensive experience in physical trading and market development.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in physical green coffee trading or origination.
• Proven hands-on Ethiopia origination experience with credible exporters/ producers.
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian regions, crop cycles, quality profiles and export logistics.
• Demonstrated ownership of physical positions, trading P&L and mark-to-market reporting.
• Experience hedging with coffee futures to protect margins.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute the green coffee trading strategy for assigned origins and markets.
• Lead Ethiopia origination with reliable supply channels and partners.
• Maintain knowledge of crop cycles, regional dynamics and export requirements.
• Negotiate contracts including price, quality, delivery, payment and Incoterms.
• Manage position book, daily P&L, and risk reporting with timely updates.
