Job summary

Randstad Switzerland collaborates with a leading medical devices manufacturer to recruit a Global Category Manager focused on injection mould tooling. You will consolidate procurement volumes, align specifications, and strengthen supply networks across multiple sites.

The role requires 5+ years in strategic sourcing within manufacturing, owning tooling lifecycle, and strong contracting capabilities. Frequent international travel and cross-functional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of strategic sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience owning the injection mould tooling lifecycle (RFX, DFM, verification, warranties).
Proven ability to negotiate high-level framework contracts and manage vendor development.

Responsibilities

Architect and execute enterprise sourcing strategies for injection mould tooling, resins, and machinery.
Build governance tools: master agreements, vendor KPIs, qualification protocols.
Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, NPI/Industrialisation and procurement teams across sites.
Monitor market dynamics to address supply continuity risks and single-source dependencies.
Standardize specifications while honoring site-specific technical or customer requirements.
