Bank J. Safra Sarasin in Basel is seeking a Cash and Securities Reconciliation Specialist to join Operations.

You will reconcile transactions with custodians and cash correspondents, monitor discrepancies, and support timely resolution to minimize risk. The role requires a finance or accounting background, 2–5 years in operations or back office, strong Excel and, ideally, Avaloq experience, and fluency in English (German a plus).

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Finance/Accounting/Controlling or banking education or apprenticeship
• 2–5 years of experience in Operations/Backoffice or Finance/Controlling
• Excellent MS Office skills; Avaloq experience is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills and high accountability; fluent English; German a plus

Aufgaben

• Manage daily to annual cash and securities reconciliation processes and identify discrepancies
• Reconcile physical securities and land registry extracts by physical stock taking
• Investigate issues, monitor open items and follow up on resolutions
• Coordinate reconciliations across teams within Operations
• Participate in annual audits related to reconciliation processes
• Contribute to process improvements and automation to reduce risk
