Mercor is seeking experienced German Linguistic Experts to join a cutting-edge AI research project in partnership with a leading research lab. The role focuses on evaluating how well a large language model handles German content and on refining German linguistic data for training and evaluation.

You will edit, annotate, and provide expert feedback on German texts, collaborating with AI researchers to improve model performance and language quality across diverse use cases.

Qualifikationen

• Native or near-native fluency in German.
• Experience in literary editing, copywriting, criticism, or NLP-related linguistic annotation in German.
• Understanding of literary complexity, tone and genre conventions; awareness of regional language variations.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate the quality and accuracy of LLM-generated German text across use cases (translation, summarization, dialogue, grammar).
• Edit, refine, or rewrite German content to meet linguistic and cultural standards.
• Annotate German texts for grammatical, syntactic, semantic and stylistic features.
• Identify model errors and collaborate with AI researchers to improve LLM performance in German.
• Provide detailed literary and linguistic feedback to guide model training and evaluation.
