Job summary

Lombardi Engineering Group in Tessin, Giubiasco, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the geotechnical design and delivery of infrastructure projects. You will design and plan solutions for soil and rock, conduct investigations, and work with clients and suppliers to meet objectives.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with geotechnics, at least 7 years of geotechnical design experience on large projects, and proficiency in Rockscience and PLAXIS/FLAC, plus English and Italian language

Job Description

• Design and plan geotechnical engineering solutions in soil and rock for complex projects with some or minimum support.
• Participate in geotechnical investigation campaigns, interpreting tests and monitoring technical data for decision-making.
• Prepare technical reports, define deliverables and ensure compliance with schedules and quality standards.
• Carry out technical site visits, collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams, and propose innovative and efficient solutions for each challenge.
• Capability of collaborate with cross-discipline project teams in the delivery of special packages for complex projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering and specialization in geotechnics.
• Minimum experience of 7 years in geotechnical design, preferably in engineering, consulting, linked to large-scale projects. First experience in the preparation of technical-economic proposals.
• Good knowledge in design and geotechnical and structural analysis applied to tunnels, slopes, foundations, containment structures, dams and underground works. Analytical, organized and results-oriented profile, with good communication skills and ability to work in a team and solve problems.
• Good proficiency in the use of technical software such as Rockscience and PLAXIS/FLAC.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Italian.
