Zusammenfassung

Universität Basel's Infection Biology Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to investigate T-cell immunity in EBV-associated cancers. You will develop patient-derived tumor models and apply CRISPR/Cas9, immunopeptidomics, and single-cell multiomics to advance translational cancer immunotherapy.

The project sits within a translational program with clinical collaboration, GMP facilities, and opportunities to present at conferences and publish in high-impact journals.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
• Strong interest in cancer and infection immunology and translational research.
• Hands-on lab experience in cell culture and immune assays.

Aufgaben

• Establish patient-derived in vitro tumor models from EBV-positive malignancies.
• Engineer HLA-defined target cells using CRISPR/Cas9.
• Isolate and characterize tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes from patient samples.
• Perform single-cell profiling of immune cell transcriptomes and TCR repertoires.
• Reconstruct and validate candidate TCRs for antigen specificity and anti-tumor activity.
• Conduct advanced immunological assays including flow cytometry and cytotoxicity assays.
• Integrate genomic and transcriptomic data with computational analyses.
• Present findings at lab meetings and international conferences.
• Contribute to publications and collaborative projects.
