Job Position

The University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, invites applications for a position of Full Professor or Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Financial Risk Management.

Job Description

The successful candidate will conduct research in financial risk management and is expected to take teaching and administrative responsibilities at different levels at the Faculty of Economics and Business (Bachelor in Economics and Business, Master in Finance).

The teaching commitment amounts to 7 periods of 45 minutes per week each semester for a full professor and 4 periods for a tenure-track assistant professor.

He / she will also supervise Master’s and PhD theses.

An interest in the areas of derivatives, alternative investments, or financial technology will be an advantage.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a PhD in finance or in a closely related field, show solid competence in both teaching and research, and have a record of publications (or the potential to publish) in leading academic journals. Courses will be taught in French and English. Non-French speakers are expected to teach in French after a two-year period.

Starting Date

August 1st, 2026 or by agreement.
