Job summary

CERN is inviting applications for a Research Fellowship in Theoretical Physics. The appointment offers the opportunity to create and lead a research programme at the frontier of fundamental physics within CERN’s international and collaborative environment.

You will join one of CERN’s theoretical physics groups, develop your own research agenda, and work with both theorists and experimentalists to advance the understanding of particle physics and related fields.

Qualifications

• PhD in theoretical physics (or defense date scheduled).
• At most 6 years' research experience after PhD.
• CERN staff members are not eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in theoretical physics.
• Contribute to CERN’s theoretical physics programme by developing new approaches and interpreting experimental results.
• Collaborate with theoretical and experimental physicists on particle physics research.
