Job summary

CERN is offering a Limited Duration research position in Theoretical Physics (TH-SP-2026-68-LD) in Geneva. You will join the CERN-TH department, contributing to the development of new theoretical ideas aligned with CERN’s experimental programme and engaging in training and scientific events on site.

Responsibilities include significant theoretical research in elementary particle physics, collaboration with experimentalists, and participation in committees.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in Theoretical Physics or related field.
• Post-doctoral research with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Strong knowledge of computational and mathematical physics.

Responsibilities

• Advance theoretical research related to elementary particle physics.
• Collaborate with experimentalists and other theorists within CERN-TH and beyond.
• Participate in CERN committees and study groups; contribute to training and scientific events.
