Mercor is seeking a French Linguistic Expert to support AI-driven language tasks on a remote, contract basis.

You will evaluate, edit, and annotate French content across translation, summarization, dialogue, and grammar correction, collaborating with AI researchers to improve model performance.

Responsibilities include identifying language gaps, refining content for cultural accuracy, and providing actionable linguistic feedback to enhance model training.

• Native or near-native fluency in French with excellent grammar and style.
• Experience in translation, editing, linguistic annotation, or NLP data work in French.
• Strong understanding of linguistic nuances and regional variations.

Type: Contract

Compensation: $50/hour

Location: Remote

• Provide detailed linguistic feedback and analysis to guide ongoing model training efforts.

Qualifications Must-Have

• Native or near-native fluency in French with excellent command over grammar, syntax, and stylistics.
• Professional experience in translation, editing, linguistic annotation, or NLP data work in French.
• Strong understanding of linguistic nuances, regional variations, and context-appropriate usage.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot subtle errors or unnatural phrasing.
• Clear communication skills and experience working in distributed, remote teams.

Preferred

• Interest in AI and LLM-driven language technologies.
