Job summary

Mercora is reinventing how physical traders run their business with an AI-native operating system. We’re seeking someone who fully owns product and engineering: define the platform’s architecture, set the standards, and scale to hundreds of customers while writing code.

You will own the technical vision and roadmap, shape product and engineering priorities, lead the team, and ensure security and reliability that trading firms trust. Fully remote, high autonomy, equity.

Qualifications

• High agency: you think through problems, push back on plans, decide what should be built.
• Strong product thinking: understand user workflow, decide what to build or cut and measure outcomes.
• Commercial instinct: focus on what moves the needle for customers, not just technically interesting.
• Ownership: have owned something bigger than your own code, people want to build with you.
• A zero-to-one track record: moved a product from idea to real users, personal projects count.
• AI-native experience: shipped AI products to real users, know where models are reliable or not.
• Clear communication: explain technical decisions clearly to customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and roadmap and ensure the platform scales from a handful of customers to hundreds.
• Define product and engineering priorities, and determine what gets built and in what order.
• Lead the engineering team, its processes, hiring, and how it ships features.
• Ensure security, reliability and data protection trusted by trading firms and IT teams.
• Provide the technical voice with customers and partners while still writing code.
