Job summary

NAIRON GmbH, a Swiss startup, is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to build voice agents and connect our platform to customers’ CRM, ticketing, calendars, and internal APIs. You will write integration code in Python or TypeScript, debug live calls, and collaborate with engineering to turn field learnings into product improvements.

You will work closely with customers in a distributed setting, enjoying flexible work setups and the opportunity to grow into architecture or product roles.

Qualifications

• Solid Python or TypeScript programming
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks and authentication
• Ability to read logs/traces and debug unfamiliar systems
• Basic understanding of telephony or real-time media concepts

Responsibilities

• Build voice agents and conversation flows from workshop to go-live
• Integrate platform with customer systems (CRMs, ticketing, calendars, APIs)
• Write integration code and small services in Python or TypeScript
• Debug live calls by reading logs/traces and report issues clearly
• Translate on-site learnings into product improvements with engineering
• Support pre-sales with technical answers when needed

Nairon GmbH is a Swiss startup building AI voice agents that answer and make phone calls for businesses. Our platform runs real-time conversations over the phone and on the web, connected to our customers' telephony and business tools. Tasks

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at NAIRON, you will work directly with our customers and make the platform do what they need. Your responsibilities will include:

• Building voice agents and conversation flows for customers, from the first workshop to go-live.
• Connecting the platform to customers' systems: CRMs, ticketing, calendars, internal APIs and their phone setup.
• Writing integration code and small services in Python or TypeScript.
• Debugging live calls with customers: reading logs and traces, finding the cause, fixing it or handing it to the core team with a clear report.
• Turning what you learn on site into product improvements, together with engineering.
• Supporting pre-sales with technical answers when a deal needs an engineer.

Requirements

Experience:

A mid-level engineer, or a developer with several years in solution engineering, integration or technical customer work.

Technical Skills

Required:

• Solid Python or TypeScript; REST APIs, webhooks and authentication.
• Comfort reading logs and traces and debugging systems you did not write.
• Basic understanding of how telephony or real-time media works, or the will to learn it fast.

Nice to have:

• Experience with LLMs, prompt design or conversational AI.
• SIP, PBX or contact-centre systems.
• Docker, cloud platforms, CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.

Communication

• German at business-fluent level (C1) is essential, as you work with our customers in German.
• Good English, as it is our internal working language.

Soft Skills

• You enjoy being in front of customers and stay calm when something breaks in a live call.
• Ownership: you follow a customer problem until it is solved.
