Summary
The Food Service Associate will cook, serve, and clean‑up in assigned area. S/he will perform other related duties which are necessary for the efficient operation of the food service program.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve menu items for that day.
- May perform cashiering duties.
- Required to keep accurate records per health department and MDE.
- Follow local health department guidelines on cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Sanitation & Safety and ServSafe certificate required or must obtain within one year of employment.
- Ability to lift 55 pounds.
- Possess reading, writing and math skills.
- Ability to operate kitchen machinery and willingness to learn operational skills for new machinery.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of and comply with state and federal regulations.
- Proven ability to project a positive attitude, manner and appearance.
- Excellent communication skills.
