Hitachi Energy is looking for a Bushings Mechanical Designer to join our R&D team in Zurich. You will lead design specifications, develop precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings, and maintain BOMs while ensuring compliance with standards and timelines.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, apply risk assessment and mitigation, and drive innovation in high voltage components. Strong English communication and a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design using CAD systems in R&D or engineering.
• Proficiency with 3D modelling tools and creating and maintaining BOMs.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead the development of design specifications and models, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Create precise engineering drawings using 2D and 3D CAD systems and maintain project documentation.
• Monitor and manage project timelines to meet milestones and schedules.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies while seeking design innovations.
• Infuse creativity into R&D projects and propose follow-up initiatives within the technical domain.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation supporting design processes and knowledge sharing.
